Flat spur is a Parks Victoria campground in Victoria’s High Country, 18 km E of Sawmill Settlement.

Located in the Mansfield State Forest and set amongst large gum trees, this large open camping area caters for individuals and large groups. Specifically designed for horse riders, visitors can now enjoy the new amenities at Flat Spur, including a large undercover shelter, fire pits, picnic table, toilet, and communal horse yards. The upper reaches of the Howqua River are just a short walk away.

Getting there

From Mansfield follow the Mt. Buller Rd to Mirimbah. Turn left onto Mt. Stirling Rd and follow to Telephone Box Junction (T.B.J). From here, The Circuit Road can be driven in either direction. Follow Circuit Road for 18kms in an anti-clockwise direction, or 28kms in a clockwise direction. Turn onto Bindaree Rd and follow for 11kms until you reach your destination on the left-hand side. The drive is normally accessible to all vehicles but can have rough sections.
