Mitta Mitta River - Tallandoon Camping Area 1a (CLWF) is a Parks Victoria campground in Victoria’s High Country, 7.3 km N of Eskdale.
This camping area is on licensed Crown water frontage. It remains public land but has a licence over it that allows the adjoining landowner/farmer to graze stock on it. Your right to access this public land remains intact as the licence does not provide an exclusive right or use by the licensee. Typically camping is prohibited on licensed Crown water frontage. However, some special areas (such as this one) have been set-aside to allow self-sufficient camping. Getting there
From Tallandoon, head north-east on Omeo Highway and after approximately 1km, turn right at Yabba Road. Head along Yabba Road for approximately 4km until you reach an unnamed road on the left. Head down the unnamed road for approximately 100m and park near the gate (do not block access). Leave all gates as you find them.
