This 4WD tour runs between the Avon-Mt Hedrick Scenic Reserve and State forest that joins the Avon Wilderness and the Alpine National Park to the north. It takes in a number of scenic lookouts and involves a couple of river crossings. A scenic 4WD tour through the Avon-Mt Hedrick scenic reserve.
Getting there
The 4WD tour starts on Kentucky Rd in Maffra West Upper. Follow Kentucky Rd north, turning left onto Huggetts Trk at the roads end. Follow Huggetts Trk through, turning right onto Mt Angus Trk. Finish the tour by turning right onto Okeefe Rd and you will finish at the Wombat Crossing campgrounds.
