For 4WDs and drivers with some 4WD experience or training. Dinner Plain Loop explores the back roads and walking tracks of Dinner Plain (subject to winter seasonal closures). There are walks and waterfalls to see with some spectacular views and you will cross Victoria River, a river which was subject to Victoria's first hydroelectric plant, built in 1908. The loop begins at Omeo’s Livingstone Creek Park, which offers mountain bike trails, picnic tables, and overnight camping facilities. From there, head onto Creek Street and then turn right onto Great Alpine Road toward Dinner Plain Village. This distinctive village, established in 1986, is Australia’s only freehold land above the snowline.…
