High Country Backroad Tour - Mt Baldhead Loop is a Parks Victoria touring route in Victoria’s High Country, 2.4 km NE of Bairnsdale.

This drive is suitable for novice drivers in all-wheel drive and high range 4WDs. This route is a full day tour but can be extended over two days if you wish to camp along the way. Head north out of Bairnsdale on Bullumwaal Road and turn left onto Lookout Road to Mount Taylor with opportunities for picnicking, mountain biking or walking. Return along Bullumwaal Road to Bullumwaal, continuing along the Bullumwaal/Mt Baldhead Road for 15.8km to Stuttering Fred Lookout. Continue along Mt Baldhead Road for a further 13km then turn right onto Marthavale Road to travel to Marthavale Hut on the Nicholson River.
