This drive is suitable for novice drivers in all-wheel drive and high range 4WDs. An easy half day trip between the Tambo and Snowy catchments. In the dry this is a great shortcut and alternative to following the highway between these two communities. With views into the Mt Elizabeth Nature Conservation Reserve this drive has you crossing over the Timbarra River before heading into Buchan. Consider a visit to the Buchan Caves Reserve to explore Victoria’s largest cave system or even do one of the other 4WD tours which connect to this town.
