Getting around
Map tips
A few moves that aren’t obvious at first.
- Shift + drag
- Draw a box to zoom straight into it
- Ctrl + drag
- Rotate and tilt the map (or drag with the right mouse button)
- Double-click
- Zoom in — add Shift to zoom out
- Scroll / pinch
- Zoom in and out
Keyboard
- ←↑→↓
- Pan
- Shift + arrows
- Rotate (← →) and tilt (↑ ↓)
- + −
- Zoom — hold Shift to jump further
- Pinch
- Zoom in and out
- Two fingers, twist
- Rotate the map
- Two fingers, drag up/down
- Tilt into 3D
- Double-tap
- Zoom in
Also try
- Tap a symbol
- Huts, campgrounds, walks and red closed tracks all have details
- 3D terrain
- Switch it on in the options panel, then tilt
- Search
- “mt” finds “Mount” — try mt feathertop
- Compass
- Click it to point north again
