Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail is a Parks Victoria riding route in Victoria’s High Country, in Lakes Entrance.

Although predominately ridden by bike, this trail with its gentle grades, beautiful forests and interesting history is also a great walk. The times and distance for this trail assume starting point is where the Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail joins the East Gippsland Rail Trail. If starting the walk at Bruthen, add 11km. You can link this ride in with the East Gippsland Rail Trail to ride from Bairnsdale to Lakes Entrance (65km, full day one-way or leisurely two day ride with an overnight break in Bruthen), or from Bruthen to Lakes Entrance (36km) or from Forestech to Lakes Entrance (13km). Getting there
The start of the track is near the intersection of Seaton Track and the East Gippsland Rail Trail, approx. 12km east of Bruthen township. This location is also accessible by car, via Bruce Rd and Seaton Tk.
