Elevator is a Parks Victoria walk in Victoria’s High Country, 14 km N of Bairnsdale.

Elevator Walking track is a 5 km return which starts at the lower trailhead of the Mt Taylor mountain bike park. It is signposted from the lower trailhead and heads uphill on a narrow winding track. The track runs parallel to Lookout Rd for a bit over 1 km then crosses the road. It follows a steep boundary track for 400m then into bushy rocky terrain climbing steeply up to more open forest near to Tower Rd. The track passes near to the upper trailhead and does a short loop before re-joining the track. Follow the track back down the same way returning to the beginning.

Getting there
Bairnsdale is approximately 275km east of Melbourne on the Princes Highway. The Elevator walking track is located at Mount Taylor mountain bike park. Follow the signs to Wy Yung. Mt Taylor mountain bike park is 13.5km past Wy Yung hotel. Head north along Bullumwaal Rd. At the point where the bitumen turns to gravel, the mountain bike park/picnic area can be accessed via Lookout Rd, the gravel road on your left.
