Mt Welcome Hike is a Parks Victoria walk in Victoria’s High Country, 16 km SE of Eskdale.

A challenging walk through dry eucalypt forest littered with examples of historic mining works. This hike follows a spur line, which offers spectacular views of the Mitta valley and surrounding mountains. During spring, a more colourful walk can be enjoyed with wild flowers often in bloom. Note that this walk contains steep terrain, good navigation skills and level of fitness are required.

Getting there
Access via Upper Pioneer trail to walk from the bottom of the trail to the top. Access to the top of Mt Welcome Hike, head approximately 3.4 kms along the Omeo Highway towards Omeo from Mitta Mitta township. Then turn right onto Mt Disappointment Track and travel approximately 4kms to the start of Mt Welcome Hike. 4WD all weather access only.
