Rubicon Dam Walk is a Parks Victoria walk in Victoria’s High Country, 14 km SE of Thornton.
- Walk · 11.6 km return · 4 hrs · Grade 3
This walk takes in most of the Rubicon Heritage Walk, passing through beautiful Mountain Ash forests and sections of cool temperate rainforest, crossing an impressive timber trestle bridge and walking along the aqueduct that feeds the Royston Power Station. It also then loops out to Rubicon Dam and its impressive spillway into Rubicon River. Note: The walk passes alongside an aqueduct, so care should be taken, particularly with children, not to fall into this concrete aqueduct. There are no toilets at the trailhead. Nearest toilets are back at Rubicon Camping Area.
