Aberfeldy Backroad Tour – Donnellys Creek Loop - Meringtons and Junction Hut is a Parks Victoria touring route in Victoria’s High Country, 22 km E of Tanjil Bren.

For 4WDs and drivers with reasonable 4WD experience or 4WD training. This side trip cuts out the northwestern section of the main Donnellys Creek Tour, rejoining the main route heading south. It takes you past Junction Hut and Meringtons Campgrounds and to the Aberfeldy River. You may choose to stay overnight at Junction Hut or at the more spacious Meringtons Campground. Junction Hut is set above the scenic junction of Donnellys Creek and the Aberfeldy River. 4WD vehicles may cross the river when conditions are suitable. At Meringtons, you can do Meringtons Walk that will take you to the Lone Grave of Charles Brown (Note – Access to the grave requires wading through the Aberfeldy River).…
Getting there
This side trip is accessed off Donnellys Creek Road and heads up Junction Track. Note – There is a deep river crossing at Junction, check depth prior to crossing.
