Toombon Historic Walk is a Parks Victoria walk in Victoria’s High Country, 22 km NE of Tanjil Bren.

This walk meanders towards the Aberfeldy river from Donnelly’s Creek Rd, take in views of recovering forest and historic artefacts in the area. At the boiler you can return via the same route or take a slightly steeper return loop by crossing the bridge and following the trail up the southern slope. Toombon was a booming gold mining township in the late 1800s, featuring a population of around 700, a hotel, post office, church and school at its peak. Also present is the 300m deep Toombon Mine, considered to be the most successful in the area. Today, many reminders tell the story of the area's history.

Getting there
The trail head is found along Donelly’s Creek Rd, accessible from Walhalla Rd directly from the North or via Sullivan’s or Merrington's Trk to the South. Please drive considerately as there is limited parking and walkers using the area.
