For 4WDs and drivers with reasonable 4WD experience or 4WD training. This side trip down O’Keefe Track takes you down to the start of a 300m walking track which leads into Aberfeldy Crossing. Here interpretation material explains the history of the area and the previous residents who lived here, including Thomas Fawkner, Thomas Theobold, Sarah Matthews and William ‘Billy the cook’ Bryant.
Getting there
Side trip commences down O’Keefe Track, which is about 1.8km north of Aberfeldy, off the Walhalla Road. This side trip concludes at the intersection of O'Keefe Track and O'Keefe McGuire Link Track. From here the walking track takes you to Aberfeldy Crossing.
