Swim, paddle or camp beside a snow-gum lake high on the Buffalo plateau.
Lake Catani is the summer hub of Mt Buffalo: swimming, canoeing and kayaking on a calm alpine lake (no motorboats), with picnic spots under the snow gums.
The campground beside it is the only one in the national park you can drive into, with hot showers and walk-in and drive-in sites.
Good to know Summer camping runs from November to April and must be booked in advance.
